Pregame Fits is back at it for Week 9! We have you covered with our favorite fits from around the league as well as our favorite cleats. This week may have been the best cleats we saw so far this year. A lot of players came with some heat! It was tough to only pick 2 pairs, but when you see them you'll know why they were selected. We also saw two fits that included recent sneaker releases that had a lot of hype.
Lets get in to it!
Irv Smith Jr. custom Jordan 1 x Bape lows
We haven't heard much from Mache this year, but we knew that was just a matter of time. He went crazy, and we mean crazy on these Jordan 1 x Bape lows. These are no doubt one of the best cleats we have seen so far this year, especially given the Vikings' color combination. Irv Smith Jr. continues making this year all about the cleats and fashion surrounding NFL tight ends. Smith had a big day on the field catching two touchdowns as the Minnesota Vikings beat the Detroit Lions 34-20.
Ray-Ray McCloud custom Air Fear of God 1's
Back in Week 3 we saw Kwon Alexander pull out the grey Nike Fear of God 1 customs. We went on record saying those were going to be one of the best cleats this year. That was partially because we didn't think anyone had it in them to break out the yellow pair! Ray-Ray McCloud clearly proved us wrong. McCloud continues to give us his reasoning why he might deserve this years Pregame Fits Cleats MVP. Kotakustoms does it yet again as he laced McCloud up with these yellow Air Fear of God 1's. Just a crazy custom inspired by a fire sneaker. McCloud and the Pittsburgh Steelers went on to beat the Dallas Cowboys in a close one 24-19.
Week 9 Winners
The 2019 Pregame Fits MVP is back at it again! He has a few Fits this season that almost got him in to the Pregame Fits Winners section, but for the first time this year he is back in Week 9. Derrick Henry broke out the recently released Off-White x Jordan 5 Sail. He paired these with the Chrome Hearts shirt and shorts combo and threw in the yellow Louis Vuitton bookbag for good measure. This is a patented look from the Titans running back that we have seen a few times now. Henry went on to have 68 yards rushing as the Tennessee Titans beat the Chicago Bears 27-14. Henry is on his way to another monster rushing year this season.
Another patented look, this time from Giants receiver Sterling Shepard. Shepard has become one of the players around the league we can expect in a suit and sneakers combination. This time he pulled out the recently released Jordan 1 High Mochas. These are a perfect sneaker to go with the all brown suit. These might be the Jordan 1 release of the year so far in our opinion. It's no surprise Shepard wore these Sunday as he is indeed a Jordan Brand athlete. Shepard had 39 yards receiving as the New York Giants beat the Washington Football Team 23-20.
Week 9 Losers
We are sorry to disappoint, but after searching around the league it looks like no players were deserving of this weeks Pregame Fits Losers section. We saw a lot of players play it safe with either a suit, or a sweater and pants combination. We just couldn't reach on any players this week as you all know we play it fair over here at Pregame Fits. But if you have been following us for a while, you know next week we won't be as easy!
Week 9 Highlight
Are the Buffalo Bills the real deal? Is Josh Allen a good quarterback? We don't have those answers and will leave it up to you all to debate. But after the Bills beat the Seattle Seahawks 44-34 on Sunday, they are deserving of the Week 9 Pregame Fits Highlight Section. To take it a step further, Josh Allen is deserving of this highlight after throwing for 415 yards and 3 touchdowns. He also added on a rushing touchdown in the win. The Bills improve their record to 7-2 and look like they might be a problem to deal with the rest of the season. Bills Mafia is loving it!
