Back at it again with Pregame Fits Week 5 Winners and Losers. Another weird week for the NFL with a few upsets, some shoot outs, and some really good Pregame Fits. We even had our first London game of the season on Sunday that didn't disappoint.
Lets get right in to it.
Justin Jones Custom Jordan 11's
Undefined Arts back with another ridiculous custom cleat job. This time they were on the feet of LA Chargers Defensive Tackle Justin Jones. This Jordan 11 features the Chargers colorway, plus the lightning bolt details that just send it over the top. The Jordan 11 seems to be the second most popular Jordan to be customized this season behind the Jordan 1. The Chargers went on to lose the game though 20-13 to the Denver Broncos.
Terrell Edmunds Custom Jordan 1's
Speaking of Jordan 1 custom cleats, Ryan Bare and SR Customs had Steelers safety Terrell Edmunds covered Sunday. These low Jordan 1's for sure caught my eye. The Shark Bomber paint, Steelers colorway and other details including "caution" and Edmunds 34 number really set these off. SR Customs continues to impress coming on to the scene this NFL season. The Steelers ended up losing in overtime Sunday to the Baltimore Ravens 26-23.
Tre Boston Nike Customs
Always a fan of players paying homage on their cleats to legendary players who once played for their team. Safety Tre Boston for the Carolina Panthers did just this on Sunday. Steve Smith was inducted in to the Panthers Hall of Fame during halftime of Sundays game against the Jacksonville Jaguars. Rightfully so, Tre Boston found this to be the perfect time for one of Steve Smith's famous quotes "ice up son!". If you're not familiar with this quote, do yourself a favor and please YouTube it. The Panthers went on to win the game 34-27.
Week 5 Winners
Back in Week 3 of Pregame Fits Kenny Still unfortunately found himself in the Losers section. Since then I have been waiting for Kenny to redeem himself and place himself where he really belongs. Amiri Jeans, YSL boots, the shirt and hat combination, congratulations Kenny, you have officially redeemed yourself. Stills did not play Sunday against the Atlanta Falcons so he made sure to show out in the tunnel before the game. Pregame Fits Winner and the Texans went on to beat the Falcons 53-32.
It's tough to win a spot on Pregame Fits winner section when you play on Thursday night. Just because there are so many options on Sunday. But Aqib Talib made sure that didn't effect his chances with this Fit. Talib always seems to have a handle on his fashion, this outfit proves that to be right. Louis Vuitton Monogram Bomber Jacket, the matching traveling bag and the Chanel belt. Talib kept it simple yet fresh, adding the jewelry to really set it off. Talib had a pretty quiet game with 3 tackles, as the Rams fell to the Seattle Seahawks on a missed last second field goal 30-29.
Week 5 Losers
I try not to pick on quarterbacks because it's a simple position when it comes to Pregame Fits. Throw on a suit like Brady, a jacket like Russel Wilson, but do not come through that tunnel looking like Colt McCoy did on Sunday. In all honesty he really doesn't look like he is about to start at quarterback for an NFL team. Judging by his Pregame Fit I knew his stat line would look something like 18 of 27 for for 119 yards and an interception. Taking on the New England Patriots and the camera switching from Tom Brady looking like a GQ model to this guy really did not help Colt's case. The Redskins ended up losing to the Pats 33-7.
Derek Watt & Austin Ekeler
For the first time we have a teammate combo in the Pregame Fits Loser section. Derek Watt definitely did not get any fashion tips from his older brother JJ with this one. The white on white jumpsuit with the dirty trainers, not a good look. Austin Ekeler decided to jump in on the action with another questionable outfit. The white jogger pants with the too tight undershirt and leather bomber jacket. Both of these Fits are not it! Chargers lost on the field and these two decided to lose off the field with these Pregame Fits.
Week 5 Highlight
Another first for Pregame Fits, a feature from a Head Coach! Kliff Kingsburry decided to stop playing games and show out in Week 5. The three piece suit, the Louis V duffle bag, for a split second I thought this was a player, not a coach! The rookie coach is well deserving of Pregame Fits Week 5 highlight. The fit speaks for itself, and Kliff and the Cardinals got their first win of the season beating the Cincinnati Bengals 26-23. The 40 year old coach put all other head coaches on notice with this Pregame Fit. We will be tuned in to see what he does in Week 6.
