Back at it after a week off due to vacation. Thank you all for sticking with us! To make up for it, we have you covered with a special edition Pregame Fits post. Week 14 was "My cause, My cleats" week in the NFL. If you are not aware, NFL players are given the opportunity to customize their cleats with their own charity or their favorite charity. Players then have the opportunity to auction off these game worn cleats with 100% of the money raised being donated towards that charity. We saw some fire cleats this week, but the real story will be the money raised for people and organizations in need!

Aside from the cleats we also saw our fair share of smooth Pregame Fits, and some that had us as confused as ever.

Lets get to it!

My Cause My Cleats

Marquez Valdes-Scantling, Mental Health Foundation
Picture
Marquez Valdes-Scantling rocked these low Nike customs on Sunday in support of the Mental Health Foundation. The words "Don't let darkness overtake you. It's okay to not be okay" can be found on the side along with bright art throughout the sillouhette. These were one of our favorites this week. In this day in age it is important to understand and protect your mental health and this is exactly what the Mental Health Foundation stands for and assists with. Valdes-Scantling and the Green Bay Packers beat the Redskins 20-15.
Sterling Shepard, Alzheimer's Association
Picture
Sterling Shepard brought out some heat Monday Night with these mismatch Jordan 1 Lows. Purple, which is the official color of Alzheimer's on the right foot, and the classic Bred toe on the left foot. The Alzheimer's Association is a non profit organization reaching out nationwide in attempt to eliminate the Alzheimer's disease through the advancement of research. A very nice cleat to raise awareness to this disease that effects so many people. The Giants went on to lose to the Philadelphia Eagles in overtime 23-17.
Joe Haden, Special Olympics
Picture
These definitely caught our eye Sunday and for good reason. Joe Haden wore these custom Jordan 1 Lows to raise awareness for the Special Olympics. The vibrant color on these, as well as the Special Olympics Logo go perfect together. The Special Olympics has over 5 million athletes stretching over 172 countries. Their motto is to "be brave in the attempt" and we could not agree more with this motto and mission. The Special Olympics holds a special place in Joe's heart with his brother Jacob being a Special Olympics athlete himself. After hearing the proposal to cut the Special Olympics's budget it is important to raise awareness on just how important this organization is to everyone. Joe Haden had a huge game with 2 interceptions as the Steelers stay hot with their win over the Arizona Cardinals 23-17.
Carlos Dunlap, Carlos Dunlap Foundation
Picture
Carlos Dunlap, defensive end for the Cincinnati Bengals wore these custom cleats Sunday to raise awareness for an organization he created called the Carlos Dunlap Foundation. This foundation focuses on providing children with the tools and guidance needed for them to learn and grow. The foundation also emphasizes the importance of not giving in to bullying. This can be found all over the cleats with phrases like "bully proof". The Bengals stripes can also be found on these cleats as well as some cartoon artwork. Great cleats representing a great foundation that understands that the future is the youth. The Bengals went on to put up a good fight against the Cleveland Browns but lost 27-19.
DJ Moore, Breast Cancer Awareness
Picture
Our boy SR Customs had a busy week customizing cleats for multiple players on the Carolina Panthers. But our favorite were the breast cancer customs done for WR DJ Moore. The words "no one fights alone" can be found on the toe as well as the breast cancer ribbon all throughout the cleat. We all know the significance of breast cancer and the fight millions of people across the world are fighting right now. It is important to continue raising awareness and money for research and we salute DJ Moore for continuing to do just that. The Carolina Panthers went on to lose the game to the Atlanta Falcons 40-20.

Week 14 Winners

Shaquill Griffin
Picture
One of the NFL's best dressed finally makes it to the Pregame Fits Winner section. Shaquill and his brother Shaquem have been lighting it up in the pregame tunnel with their fits. It was about time one of them got their feature. Shaquill is sporting the long sleeve LV polo with the traveling roller to match. As well as some Balmain jeans and Louboutin sneakers. The Seahawks went on to lose to the Rams on Sunday Night Football 28-12.
Jaylon Smith
Picture
It was impossible to not make a spot for Jaylon Smith this week. You show up in a Frank Lucas mink coat, you automatically get a spot in the Winner section. It's pretty simple. He has been rocking suits and business attire all year so this coat was a little unexpected. Jaylon kept it classy as usual though pairing the coat with a shirt and tie, and the off-white rolling case for some flare. This outfit was fire, but the Cowboys stay cold as they lost to the Chicago Bears 31-24 Thursday Night.
Marcus Maye
Picture
Our favorite Pregame Fit this week was a no brainer. Marcus Maye, safety for the New York Jets came out of no where with this one. We are always pretty focused on what Jamal Adams is gonna be wearing Pregame that we may have overlooked what Marcus has been bringing all year. Took Jamal Adams to sit out a game for us to realize Marcus Maye might be one of the best dressed players in the league. The Amiri jeans paired with the recently released oatmeal Fear of God 1's go perfect with the plaid hoodie. Crazy fit Marcus! The Jets went on beat the Miami Dolphins in a field goal battle 22-21.

Week 14 Losers

Jack Doyle
Picture
At first glance we thought this was the veteran Ryan Fitzpatrick and we were going to let him slide. But then we realized it is actually Colts tight end Jack Doyle. And if you have been following us all year you know Pregame Fits lets QB's and special teams players slide majority of the time. Unfortunately for Jack he is neither of the two! Judging by the lack of effort put in to this fit, as well as the boot cut jeans, we could have told you he would only have 2 catches for 27 yards in a loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Houston Texans LB's
Picture
Pregame Fits is officially done letting it slide! The Texans Linebackers have done this all year and we haven't been able to call them out because they have kept winning games. But you get blown out by rookie QB Drew Lock and the Denver Broncos and it's open season! They have had the terrible idea to show up in matching costumes almost every game this year and it has officially gone on too long. This is not the tunnel look Pregame Fits is looking for and needs to be retired immediately. The Texans got stomped 38-24 in a shocker. Let's see if they bounce back like Average Joe's next week against the Tennessee Titans.

Week 14 Highlight

Picture
You can't spell Elite without Eli. If this is indeed his last start as a New York Giant, he deserves some respect. The two time Super Bowl winning MVP took the field Monday night against the Philadelphia Eagles following the injury of Danny Dimes last week. It was such a nostalgic feeling as he threw two touchdowns in the first half to give the Giants a 17-3 lead. It took us back to the helmet catch days, the Mario Manningham down the sideline days and it was awesome for the time being. But of course the New York Giants defense couldn't hold up and they lost in overtime 23-17. But that's beside the point. We here at Pregame Fits want to thank Eli for giving us the two rings, the endless memories, and if last night was his last game, he gave us one last thrill ride. Thank you 10, and enjoy the Hall of Fame.
