Pregame Fits is back for year 2! We never thought we would get as much attention as we did last year, but we have even bigger things in store for year 2! With the state of the world currently, I think it is safe to say we needed some football this year. Pregame Fits has you covered once again with all the latest pregame outfits as well as in game cleat debuts from your favorite players.
Lets get right in to it!
Vincent Taylor Custom Jordan 10's
Did we think one of our favorite cleats from Week 1 would come from a defensive tackle? No, but anything is possible in 2020. These custom Jordan 10's were designed by a new artist this year going by the name SolesbySir out of Miami FL. Browns offensive lineman Vincent Taylor made a perfect decision for his Week 1 cleats. The Browns colorway on an iconic Jordan, you can't really go wrong. The Browns got smoked by the Ravens 38 to 6 and it might just be another rough year for Cleveland fans.
Solomon Kindley Custom Jordan 1's
Last year was no doubt the year of the Jordan 1 when it came to custom cleats. We can continue to expect this throughout another season, and we can't say we hate it. The Jordan 1 is arguably the greatest shoe of all time so it makes sense. Another new artist by the name of King Customs based out of Wisconsin hooked Solomon Kindley up with these for his Week 1 debut. The Dolphins fell to the Patriots 21 to 11 in a close game Sunday.
Tre Boston Custom Dion Air Max 96
Our favorite pair of cleats from Week 1 though comes from our guy SR Customs who had a breakout year last year. The Air DT Max is an absolute classic from 1996 made famous by Mr. Primetime Dion Sanders. This colorway just goes crazy! We can continue to expect big things from Tre Boston this year when it comes to cleats. The Panthers were defeated by the Raiders 34 to 30 in a game that game down to the wire.
Week 1 Winners
Bradin Cooks was in the running for Pregame Fits MVP in 2019, so it's only right he showed up with some heat Week 1. Making his debut for the Houston Texans on Thursday night, Cooks decided to rock the Travis Scott Jordan 1 Highs along with the Dior short sleeve shirt. A simple yet fire combination that just had to be topped off with the Goyard trunk. A solid Week 1 from a guy who is a favorite for 2020 Pregame Fits MVP. On the field Cooks had a very silent day with two catches for 20 yards. The Texans lost to the reigning Super Bowl Champs the Kansas City Chiefs 34 to 20.
George Kittle and Nick Bosa
Alright so our first controversial decision of the 2020 season. We understand that there is nothing special about these pregame fits from the ankle up. But when we really take some time to think about it, it's safe to say no one expected Nick Bosa and George Kittle to show up Week 1 in matching Grateful Dead Nike SB's. Honestly we would never expect Nick Bosa to show up with any heat, but this took us by big surprise. This shoe had everyone going crazy when released in July of this year so it's only right we give some props to these two teammates. Will this be a 1 week thing, or can we expect some more heat out of these two? I guess we will have to wait and see. The 49ers lost to the Cardinals 24 to 20. Kittle left the game early with a knee sprain but says he should be good to go next week.
Week 1 Losers
We are keeping the same rules for offensive linemen this year. When in doubt wear some team sweatpants and a team hoodie or t-shirt. If you attempt to pull off a Pregame Fit, then it's fair game. Sorry Ronnie, the Eric Emanuel Shorts can't save you. Week 1 of the NFL season and you thought it was a good idea to roll up in the thong sandals? You've been in the league long enough to understand this ain't it. He might be a Pregame Fits Loser for Week 1 but the Ravens got the W against the Cleveland Browns Sunday.
This was as unanimous as it gets here at Pregame Fits. Mecole Hardman's attire wasn't the only thing sleepy, his performance on the field Thursday put us to bed as well. You show up in bunny slippers, pajamas and a teddy bear, you better go for 150 yards and two touchdowns. Going for a whopping 1 catch and 6 yards, he did this to himself. You're much better than this Mecole. Ever since you showed up in the fighter jet costume last year it has been going downhill. Lets hope for a bounce back! The Chiefs are looking like a Super Bowl favorite once again though after their win Thursday against the Texans.
Week 1 Highlight
Our 2019 Pregame Fits MVP showed up in a powerful fit for his Monday night game against the Denver Broncos. It is only right that we shed light on a fit that should be seen over and over again. Derrick Henry's suit includes names of all victims of police brutality and social injustice. With everything going on in the world we couldn't think of anything more deserving to be our Pregame Fits Week 1 Highlight. Simply put, it's pretty sick that a suit big enough for a 6 '3" 250 pound running back is completely covered with names. As it was stated around the NFL all week, we need to be better! The Tennessee Titans went on to beat the Denver Bronco's 16 to 14. Henry had 116 yards on 31 carries. But we can all agree the message from this suit is much more important that his performance on the field.
